As the year of 2014 came to a close, we found ourselves yet again on the very same path: trying to set goals that we might never accomplish. You just have to determine what you want to attain,why you want it, how you want to feel and then take the necessary steps to get there.

  3. 80% of us actually set goals that we eventually accomplish

  4. 1% reaches the Pinnacle of Success

  5. Imagine the Universe as a magnet that can be used to attract positive things into your life

  6. SPECIFIC A specific goal has a much greater chance of being accomplished than a general goal Who? What? When? Where? Which? Why? The mind can’t tell the difference between what is real and that which is vividly imagined

  7. MEASURABLE Set up milestones and check often your progress How Much? How Many? How will I know when it is accomplished?

  8. ALIGNED Are your goals aligned with your beliefs and core values? Build a vision board and trust that everything will come to you at the right time No one knows YOU better than YOURSELF

  9. REALISTIC Making unrealistic goals leads to low self-esteem and a sense of failure which projects negative energies to the Universe Create goals that you really see yourself achieving BE, DO, HAVE, FEEL: Great being a Dreamer

  10. TIME BOUND With no time frame tied to it you will lack a sense of urgency and there is no real commitment “Whenever” or “someday” are not milestones to live by and you won’t even know when they’ve passed you by Your deadline must also be realistic

  11. LOOK BACK Did you have any goals last year? Did you achieve them all? Retrospection always allows you to look at the future with a clearer view

  12. WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE? Be clear about where you want to be in 12 months time Determine the action steps towards achieving your goals

  13. SET OUT YOUR MONTHLY GOALS Create monthly milestones or targets that you can achieve and measure Set out SMART GOALS

  14. SIMPLIFY DECISION MAKING The 60 Seconds Rule Allocate 60 seconds to each decision that you have to make

  15. PLACE YOUR EFFORTS WHERE THEY COUNT Focus on the goals that will yield the greatest results for you 20% of your efforts will yield 80% of the results

  16. KEEP IT SIMPLE One of the main reasons we may fail to achieve our goals is that these goals are simply too complex Simple goals are easier to follow through

  17. CREATE A REVIEW SYSTEM Against each goal, note the specific actions to be taken Review frequently both short and long term goals

  18. DEVELOP A “TO DO” LIST Read More Only by achieving smaller goals will you be able to achieve and exceed the bigger ones Embrace daily “to do lists” that set out mini goals
