  2. Project Goals • To acquire and distribute language resources • To widen TELRI research community by developing the Tractor User Community (TUC).

  3. Project Outline • Organise and document existing resources • Provide means of internet access to resources • Provide a directory of members and services • Recruit users • Go live by January 2000 • Provide a helpline for the User Community • Run a workshop at the TWC in 2000 • Continue to acquire and distribute resources • Improve documentation and interface.

  4. Existing Resources • Corpora • Lexica • Tools

  5. TRACTOR Website • The current experimental website, under development: solaris3.ids-mannheim.de/tractor • The address for the forthcoming public website: www.tractor.de

  6. Licensing • Licensing permissions for existing resources need to be ratified • Permission to distribute the ELAN resources will be sought

  7. Standards • There will be a 2-tier structure to the resources: 1. Resources in any format will be accepted and distributed 2. Certain standards will be recommended, and conformant resources can be accessed online • Standards for documentation are being worked out now.

  8. Help from TELRI participants • Documention of existing resources • Give feedback about the website (mail to tractor@ids-mannheim.de) • Provide more resources and find other providers • Find more users • Give permission to distribute the resources • Please sign the forms today!
