  4. Process Flow Charting • Understand how a work process/work flow currently works. • Generate ideas about how the process might improve. • Think about staff roles and whether you are making best use of the people on your team.

Improving a Process • Understand the process through the eyes of the people who experience it – patients, staff, etc. • Brainstorm ideas about how the current process might be improved. • Use the Model for Improvement/ PDSA to test these ideas, on a small scale, and work your way towards the process that works best for you.
