以弗所書主題:教會 • 全書所論的教會不是某地區的教會,而是指普世所有信主的人 亦即世界性的教會 • 書中亦強調外邦人在基督裡與猶太人歸為一體,因此, • 原來在應許的諸約上是局外人, • 現在與猶太人及信徒同國了, • 要承受同樣得基業,領受同樣的應許 • The topic of Ephesians : Church • The book mentioned church is not a local church, but all believers in the world. That is a worldly church. • In this book, it also emphasizes Gentiles and Jews will be united in Christ. Thus, they are in the kingdom of Christ and take the same inheritance and promise.
以弗所書是一封令人振奮的書信,我們在基督裡有豐盛的生命 因此,我們基督徒應該知道 在基督裡的地位 • 以弗所書一至三章 告訴我們在基督裡的福氣; • 四至六章告訴我們在基督裡的行事為人. • 第一章3節是.神在主耶穌基督裡把所有屬靈的福氣賜給我們.沒有基督,以及離了祂,我們便一無所有,等同虛無,我們就不能作甚麼（約十五5）. • Ephesians is a uplifting book. We have an abundant life in Christ, thus; our Christians should know our status in Christ. • Chapter 1 to 3 tells us the blessings in Christ. • Chapter 4 to 6 tells us the behaviors in Christ. • Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3) • I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

一、在基督外:從前外邦人的光景( 2:11-12) 所以你們應當記念,你們從前按肉體是外邦人,是稱為沒受割禮的這名原是那些憑人手在肉身上稱為受割禮之人所起的. 那時,你們與基督無關, • 在以色列國民以外, • 在所應許的諸約上是局外人. • 並且活在世上沒有指望, • 沒有 神. Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called "uncircumcised" by those who call themselves "the circumcision" (that done in the body by the hands of men) remember that at that time • you were separate from Christ, • excluded from citizenship in Israel • and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, • without hope • and without God in the world.
得救之前的可憐景況2:1-3 屬血氣的人 你們死在過犯罪惡之中,他叫你們活過來.那時,你們在其中行事為人隨從今世的風俗,順服空中掌權者的首領,就是現今在悖逆之子心中運行的邪靈.我們從前也都在他們中間,放縱肉體的私慾,隨著肉體和心中所喜好的去行,本為可怒之子,和別人一樣. As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.
二、在基督裡:猶太與和外邦人的光景(2:13-18) 你們從前遠離 神的人,如今卻在基督耶穌裡, .靠著他的血,已經得親近了. .因他使我們和睦,將兩下合而為一,拆毀了中間隔斷的牆. .而且以自己的身體,廢掉冤仇,就是那記在律法上的規條. .為要將兩下,藉著自己造成一個新人,如此便成就了和睦. .既在十字架上滅了冤仇,便藉這十字架, .使兩下歸為一體,與 神和好了. .並且來傳和平的福音給你們遠處的人,也給那近處的人. .因為我們兩下藉著他被一個聖靈所感,得以進到父面前. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the twoone and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcilebothof them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by oneSpirit.

Conclusion: People in the flesh (Ephesians 2) You were dead in your transgressions and sins (1) To live when you followed the ways of this world (2) The ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. (2) Gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. (3) Nature objects of wrath (3)
「外邦人」「在以色列國民以外」（12）. 「局外人」（12）. 「沒有指望」（12）. 「沒有神」（12）. 是神的「仇敵」（15-16） Gentiles were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel (12) Foreigners to the covenants of the promise (12) Without hope (12) Without God in the world (12) Through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. (15-16)
對照2:4-7 :得救之後的恩慈景況 然而神既有豐富的憐憫.因他愛我們的大愛,當我們死在過犯中的時候,便叫我們與基督一同活過來.（你們得救是本乎恩）他又叫我們與基督耶穌一同復活,一同坐在天上,要將他極豐富的恩典,就是他在基督耶穌裡向我們所施的恩慈,顯明給後來的世代看. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
三、在神家裡:結果被建造新的身分(2:19-22) 這樣,你們不再作外人,和客旅, • 是與聖徒同國, • 是 神家裡的人了. • 並且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上, • 有基督耶穌自己為房角石. • 各房靠他聯絡得合式,漸漸成為主的聖殿. • 你們也靠他同被建造成為 神藉著聖靈居住的所在. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself asthe chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

He restored the relationship between man and God. We, believers, were not far away and were near. At least, these implied seven wonderful things.

在教會裡新身份: 我們都是神國的國民, 神的兒女(兄弟姊妹),都稱呼神:阿爸父 （羅馬書Romans 8:15-17） • 因為凡被 神的靈引導的,都是 神的兒子.你們所受的不是奴僕的心,仍舊害怕.所受的乃是兒子心,因此我們呼叫阿爸,父. 聖靈與我們的心同證我們是 神的兒女.既是兒女,便是後嗣,就是 神的後嗣,和基督同作後嗣.如果我們和他一同受苦,也必和他一同得榮耀.because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God‘s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
