Bangor University (Welsh: Prifysgol Bangor) is a Welsh university in the city of Bangor in the county of Gwynedd in North Wales. It received its Royal Charter in 1885 and was one of the founding member institutions of the former federal University of Wales. It was officially known for most of its history as the University College of North Wales (UCNW), and later as the University of Wales, Bangor (UWB) (Welsh: Prifysgol Cymru, Bangor). From September 2007 it became known as Bangor University, having become independent from the federal University of Wales.

  1.  Bangor university was started on 18thOct 1884 in North Wales .An important features of its foundation was the Voluntary contributions made by local people, including farmers and quarrymen from the weekly wages over a period of time its was started with 58 students and 10 members of staff  Till 1893 their received degree from London university  Today we have over 12,000 students and 2000 members of staff. Bangor university is committed to providing teaching of the highest quality .Bangor university is playing a full role in the wider community of Wales including research in highest quality.

  6.  For entry onto undergraduate / bachelor degree programmes, students with a school leaving qualification equivalent to the British school leaving qualification will be considered for direct entry into the 1st year of a 3 or 4 year programme. Students from countries whose school leaving qualification is not at a level equivalent to the British school-leaving qualification are required to undertake an additional foundation year  Applications should be through UCAS

  7.  International Entrance Scholarship  Bangor University is offering a 10% reduction off the first year’s tuition fees to all International students who apply before the 31st of July, 2011. Scholarship will replace the International Scholarship that was previously  School of Music---the Parry Williams Scholarships are awarded to the three students with the best entry qualifications for any particular year. The International Entrance They are each worth £1000  Bangor Business School ---Two scholarships valued at £5,000 each is awarded to outstanding International candidates.  And few courses school of electronic eng and chemical related programe has number of bursaries

  8.  Entry onto Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and Masters' courses requires a bachelor degree of equivalent standard to the British bachelor degree in a relevant subject with a grade equivalent to at least a British second class honors.  Candidates who are 25 years or older who do not have a bachelor degree, but who have 3 years or more of relevant work experience can be considered for entry onto Masters' programmes.  Pg Programs are recommended by online application

  10.  Manchester International Airport is the most convenient UK entry point for Bangor.  At the airport train station, take a train for Crewe, this journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes.  Liverpool James Street train station to Bangor takes 15mins  Bangor is en-route, 3.5 - 4 hours journey time from London Euston. 
