  2. OSTRICH The ostrich boasts the largest eyes of any terrestrial mammal, even holding a Guinness World Record! Its eyes, larger than its walnut-sized brain, are twice the diameter of human eyes. This exceptional eyesight allows ostriches to spot predators from 3 to 4 kilometers away. Ostriches can't fly but are built for running and self-defense. Their powerful legs can deliver a lethal kick to a lion, and male ostriches can roar like lions too!
