  1. Labor Market: When Giving Up is Considered Winning Recent BLS report mentions how the level of claims has been under 300,000 for over a year. Traditionally considered to be a sign of a healthy labor market, it could also be interpreted evidence of the vast number of US job seekers that have either exhausted benefits, exited workforce entirely, or haven’t had sufficient consistent employment to qualify for unemployment benefits over the last year.
