PTE Test: Online Practice and Mock Test of PTE Academics

PTE Academic contains common academic English in which you have to just improve your accent, grammar, etc., so you will hear excerpts from lectures and view graphs and charts. You will hear a range of accents in the test, from British and American to non-native speakers, so you will be known to the type of accents you will encounter in everyday life.<br>To complete a PTE Academic test, you will need to attend an Online Pearson test. You have to use a computer and headset to listen to, read and respond to questions.<br>PTE Test is divided into four sections:<br>1. Reading<br>2. Writing<br>3. Speaking<br>4. Listening<br>There is a three-hour test session during which there are three main parts to the test. There is an optional 10-minute break between the reading and listening parts.   5. This is a time based session. The time give to this sections is 77-93 minutes. You will be tested for your writing and speaking skills. To conduct Speaking test, your skills will be tested by your ability to produce spoken English in an Academic Environment. To conduct Writing Test, your skills will be tested by write a content or an essay in academic writing to improve your grammar and spellings. • • •

  7. 1. Personal Introduction The personal Introduction is the chance to you to give some selected information about yourself. You will have just 25 seconds to read the prompt and prepare for your response and after you have just 30 seconds to record your response. This recording will have sent to the score report of the institution that selected by you.

  8. 2. Read Aloud There are following Instructions you have to follow: Task: Some text you see on the screen. Read aloud that text. Skill Assessed: Skill you are improving in this is reading and writing Prompt Length: Make sure the text length is of 60 words. Time to Answer: It depends on the length of text.

Repeat the Sentence After listening to the audio or that recording of the sentence, repeat that sentence.. 01 Skills Assessed: Skills that you improve is Listening and Speaking. 04 Prompt Length 3-9 seconds. 03 Time to Answer You have just 15 seconds to repeat that sentnce. 02 The audio plays automatically. When audio finishes and recording status shows “recording”. Speak immediately after finishing the audio because there is no beep after audio so repeat immediately and exact what you heard properly. 05

  11. 5. Re-Tell a Lecture Task: After listening to a lecture, you have to re – tell your lecture in your own words.. Skills Assessed: Listening and speaking Prompt Length Above 90 seconds Time to Answer You have just 40 seconds to give your answer. When the audio plays, you have to hear properly, then you have to prepare for just 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, you hear a tone. After that tone, speak immediately after finishing, the recorded box changes into finished or completed. .

  12. 6. Answer Short questions The audio has to play automatically. When the audio finishes, the microphone opens and the recording box shows “Recording”. Speak into the microphone immediately (because there is no short tone so after playing, answer immediately) and answer the question with one or a few words. You must speak clearly. There is no need to rush. You have to finish speaking before the progress bar reaches the end. The word “Recording” changes to “Completed”. You are not able to replay the audio. Prompt Length- 3-9 seconds Time to Answer: Just 10 seconds Skills Assessed: Listening and speaking Task: Answer with one word or few words after listening to questions.

  13. 8. Essay Task: Write an essay on given topic about 200-300 words. Time to Answer Skills assessed: 20-30 minutes Writing Prompt Length You have just 20 minutes to write your essay on a given topic. The Word Count at the bottom of the screen counts the number of words you write so make sure that length is of just 200- 300 words. There are also cut, copy and paste buttons which you may choose to use while writing your essay. 2-3 sentence.
