Even cheap dates often end up costing a lot when you factor in drinks, food, transportation, and maybe even an Uber home at the end of the night.  But you don’t have to break the bank to go on a date. There are lots of free or cheap date ideas out there, as long as you know where to find them.   2. See a free show • Nothing says romance like a live show. Whether you’re into comedy, theater, music, or something else, chances are you can find a free show to see. Do a quick Google search to find out what free shows are going on in your area. If you don’t have a specific type of show in mind, this is a great way to browse and find something you both might like. • Hit up your local museum • Museums are another place where you can typically go for free. If you’re looking for a more grown-up date, try hitting up a museum.
