  1. How to Make a Comeback after a Long Hiatus We’ve all been there. We start a new workout routine with all the excitement in the world and a few weeks in we start to lose motivation. The excitement trickles down to a mundane routine and before we know it, we’re binging shows at hours we ought to be at the gym and eating foods that we promised not to touch and specifically remember scratching off the grocery list. Having to build your habits back is a particularly difficult task; especially the habits that are good for you. How do you make a comeback you ask? Follow these 3 simple tips: 1. Pick it Up Slow– When you decide to make a comeback, keep in mind you cannot pick up where you left off. It’s normal to want to hit the weights with the same intensity and vigour that you had when you first begun. After all, you are trying to make up for lost time it makes sense to run faster in order to do so, right? Wrong! Rushing it will not only make you burnout faster but will also drastically increase your chances of injury and that will set you back by months yet again. So listen to your body, take it slow, and you will soon start seeing results. 2. Experiment with Different Styles– It is important to acknowledge that your body may have changed over your hiatus and what worked before may not work now. Experiment with different styles and see what you’re feeling before you completely devote yourself to one style of workouts. If you love weight training but don’t feel strong enough yoga strength workouts to gain your initial strength back before you pick up the barbell. 3. Watch your Mouth = Eating right and staying hydrated is one the quickest ways to regain health. Our bodies have to filter out a lot of garbage on a daily basis where it should be getting the right nutrition. Make it easier on yourself and eat the right rights alongside keeping yourself hydrated and you’ll fall back into the flow of things in no time.
