Yesterday it was around 45 degrees outside, and it was a perfect weather to wear a light kimono and chill by the cafe. I was sitting at there with a couple of my friends, and we see this guy who is entirely suited but happens to be wearing a pair of flip-flops. Not trying to be judgemental here, but what kind of a person wears a suit with a flip-flop. Well, it is probably the ones whose feet burn like crazy in the scorching summer heat. I went back home that day thinking about the unfashionable insane guy who wore flip-flops. He looked odd since I couldn’t accept the fact that people could go around wearing what is comfortable for them. Later that night I was thinking about how women are often expected to look perfect, and thus we often expect others to have a sparkling personality. We are very particular when it comes to grooming and style. But men on the other side have this confidence where they will be able to put minimal effort into fashion but still seem attractive. The guy at cafe wore a pair of flip-flops and the more I thought about it, the more I understood how stylish and comfortable it looked. I went back to the cafe at the same time the following day and guess who I will be having coffee with?...The man with the flip-flops.
