  1. Why Does Your Car’s Air Conditioning System Needs Recharging?

  2. On the hot, sunny days, there are few things that can be more frustrating than having to travel in a car that has a non-functional cooling system. If your car’s air conditioning unit blows warm air only, then it is most probably because it’s low on refrigerant, and more likely because the leak is somewhere in the AC system.

  3. “Topping Off” Your car’s AC system is not always necessary • Though a lot of car-owners might think that they need to top off or recharge their AC system with refrigerant on an annual or regular basis that is not the case really. • An AC system is closed system; if there aren’t any problems, then coolant won’t just be unnecessarily used by the car, and nor would it escape. • Unless your car’s AC needs some kind of repairing, there is no need to recharge your AC system. • If the Air conditioning unit has stopped working but the fan is still blowing warm air, then the reason could be a leak in the connector, hose or other parts of the AC system could be the culprit. • During winter season, one may notice that defrosters aren’t clearing the fogged-up windows, which can be a sign that there’s a leak. Most defrosters tend to engage the AC to dehumidify air. • Problems with car’s AC might signify condenser or compressor troubles which might require Car Air Conditioning Repair services.

  4. Car AC are complex systems; there are many things that can go wrong with the car’s AC system. This is true, especially of the air conditioners in the older vehicles.

  5. If there’s leak in the hose or elsewhere in the AC system, then the system in the most modern cars is designed in such a way that they shot down refrigerant level-drops to certain levels so as to prevent further damage to the AC compressor. • The AC compressor pressurizes refrigerant and keeps refrigerant flowing throughout the system. • When there isn’t enough refrigerant left in the AC system, it may lead to serious damage to the compressor. • Generally speaking, getting compressor repaired can be somewhat expensive and it is bet to be avoided whenever possible.

  6. When your car’s AC system need to be recharged • Without proper equipment, even the repair shops can determine precisely how much AC refrigerant is left in the system; which is why how much refrigerant they add when recharging the system is more of a judgement call. • The most effective way of recharging the system is to perform a complete evacuation and then recharging the system with the precise amount of refrigerant that is recommended by the vehicle’s manufacturer – and this procedure is much more expensive and should be done by professionals only. • Usually, there is really no need to have the system cleaned unless it’s opened up for other reasons such as to check for leaks or some other problems. • One can have the Car AC Refill done before experiencing problems, but one should not be needing that done any more than once a couple of years.
