  2. Israel Had Famine of Hearing God’s Word • 1. God sent Amos, a prophet, to warn Israel during the time of King Jeroboam 2nd (782-753 B.C.). • 2. During the time of King Jeroboam 2nd the nation of Israel became rich. • 3. People rejected the Word of God. • 4. People would be without hope. • 5. People would not be able to seek and find God speak.

  3. The Laodicean Church Had Famine of Hearing God’s Word • Revelation 3:14-18 • 14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
