Constraints and achievements

in implementing with suggestion

  • Assistance for HYV & Hybrid rice seeds may be increased to 50% of the total cost instead of existing assistance of Rs. 5.00 & Rs. 20.00 per Kg. respectively.
  • Low subsidy rate of Rotavator & Sprinkler Set.
  • No. of SRI demonstration may be increased with more financial assistance.
  • Scarcity in Breeder & Foundation Seeds.
  • Assam’s soil is acidic in nature and requires amelioration to enhance productivity. Assistance of Rs. 500.00 per hectare, which is around 7% of total cost. So, it needs to be enhanced to at least 50% of actual cost to attract the farmers.
  • Provision to provide Tractor & Power Tiller to facilitate farm mechanization.
