  2. Heavy vehicle licence classes There are 5 different classes of a heavy vehicle licence. Each class has minimum requirements you must meet to upgrade your licence to the next class. These requirements vary depending on the licence class. LR – Light Rigid – small buses or trucks. MR – Medium Rigid – medium rigid trucks or buses. HR – Heavy Rigid – heavy rigid trucks or buses (including articulated buses). HC – Heavy Combination – heavy articulated vehicles. MC – Multi Combination – B-doubles, prime mover, low loader dolly and low loader combinations, road trains.

Excavator Training • RIIMPO320F – Conduct civil construction excavator operations • Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations course (also known as an Excavator Training Course) has been developed for the most novice operators to the most experienced. • Excavator training is delivered and statements of attainment are issued by FHV Driver Training • (RTO No 91857). • Excavator training consists of 2 days of training: • Day 1: Classroom theory • Day 2: Practical day with exercises on a real excavator

  4. Elevated Work Platform Elevating work platform is the term used to describe all configurations of EWPs being self-propelled, trailer mounted (towable) or truck mounted. This term is not used when the work platform is an attachment such as a “personnel basket” or “cage” fitted to plant such as a forklift. Below are pictures of the most commonly found EWPs. Elevating Work Platform – AS2550.10; 1.3.7 A mobile machine (device) that is intended to move persons, tools and material to working positions and consists of at least a work platform with controls, an extending structure and a chassis. There are many variations of EWP but they can be placed in one of two categories: Boom type or Scissor type.
