  1. Tips To Get First Floor Additions Who does not like to have the biggest houses and more space in the house? Who would mind to have first floor additions or second storey extensions to the house? However, wanting something is one thing, but taking proper precautions to fulfil the want is essential. However, there are a few things which need to keep into consideration before getting any additions or extensions at home. 1. Check the existing building material: There are times when the house is very old and has been build ages ago. The material used at that time was sufficient to be a base to the house. However, one needs to ask for experts to check whether adding another floor will be possible? Will the exiting material used to be able to handle the weight of an added floor? It is very important to answer these questions before just starting of the construction work at home. 2. Seek Permission: Many times, it is not legal to construct an added storey in the house. Hence, before starting any sort of construction work, make sure to approach the concerned legal bodies and seek permission from them. If you see around and realize that many of the houses have constructed an added storey, then it won’t be much of a problem for you. Hence, one should always be on a safer side and seek permission.
