  2. AVG ANTIVIRUS • AVG Antivirus (previously just AVG, abbreviation of Anti-Virus Guard) is a family of antivirus software developed by AVG Technologies, a subsidiary of Avast Software. It is available for Windows, macOS and Android. • AVG provides AVG AntiVirus Free for Windows, AVG AntiVirus for Mac for macOS, and AVG AntiVirus for Android for Android devices. All are freemium products: They are free to download, install, update and use, but for technical support, a premium plan must be purchased.

STEPS FOR REMOVING AVG ANTIVIRUS FROM WINDOWS • Press the Win key and X key simultaneously then select Programs and Features from the menu that appears. • Right-click AVG in the list of programs and select Uninstall to open the AVG uninstallation wizard. ... • Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the uninstallation. • Restart your PC.

STEPS FOR UNINSTALLING AVG ANTIVIRUS • Please restart your PC to make sure that there are no AVG updates or tests running in the background. • After the restart, please log into Windows as a user with administrative rights. • If the uninstallation was unsuccessful, use the AVG Removertool. Please make sure to save all your work and close all open documents

TO DOWNLOAD THE AVG REMOVER TOOL • Download the AVG Remover tool. • Run the downloaded file and then click Continue to accept the AVG’s License Agreement and Privacy Policy. • AVG Remover scans your PC to find all installed AVG products. • Select the product you would like to uninstall and click Remove. • Click Restart.

  6. If the Open File - Security Warning dialog appears • after the restart, click Runto complete the • uninstallation. • If prompted, restart your PC again. • Note: Once the uninstallation process is complete, • go to your C:\ drive, and delete the AVG • _Remover folder manually.
