Decarbonising road transport is one of the bold steps India is taking to accomplish its net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions target by 2070. To support the nation in this effort, leading conglomerates like the Essar Group are taking proactive steps.
Essar Group is driving a structural change in the transportation sector by building an ecosystem to help industries adopt LNG-Powered Trucks, aiming to reduce emissions significantly. In line with this, GreenLine Mobility Solutions, Essar’s green logistics solutions provider, has partnered with Shriram Finance to deploy a new fleet of LNG-powered trucks at Chakan, Pune. The deployment is backed by Shriram Finance Ltd, one of India’s largest NBFCs.
