  2. The group has been recognized with several awards and recognitions for adopting eco- friendly practices despite being in the news for the 2G scam allegations. Recently, the company has added a new feather to its cap by getting recognised with two prestigious awards. Essar Power Gujarat Limited (EPGL) announced a double victory at the 2nd National Power-Gen Leadership Awards 2024, held in Delhi. The company was nominated and won awards for the Best National Power Gen Excellence Unit and the Best National ESG Initiative of the Year award from the Council of Enviro Excellence (CEE).

  3. Best National ESG Initiative of the Year Award Essar’s Best National ESG Initiative of the Year award emphasizes its approach to ESG. Through various sustainability initiatives and community engagement efforts, including retrofitting our 600 MW units and implementing a seawater intake system, EPGL has set a new benchmark in the industry. These awards demonstrate EPGL’s continued enthusiasm to create a cleaner, safer, more sustainable energy future.
