  1. Responsibilities and Duties of Full Time Material Handlers • If you are looking for full time material handlers jobs, there is one thing going in your favor and that is you will not have to wait long before you find one. This is because there is a high demand for material handlers in whatever industry or sector that you look at – construction, warehouses, automotive, aviation, manufacturing, and many more. • The type of work of course will vary. While in manufacturing, you will be required to move raw materials from stores to production lines and move back finished goods, in warehouses, you will have to move inward and outward stocks to and from freighters. • However, full time material handlershave one thing in common and that is to be supremely fit with a lot of stamina to handle weights. You must have the ability to be on your feet for long hours at a stretch. Also stacking and moving materials require a lot of twisting, squatting, and reaching above the head and you should have the flexibility to go through these postures without injuring yourself. • Another benchmark that is invariably checked by companies before hiring full time material handlers is the capacity to pull, push. And lift weights of at least 25lbs. Once you pass this test, there is not much that companies look for. • Formal education is not required from full time material handlers. But you must have good written and speaking English communication skills as material handlers are required to maintain stocks and inventory of goods handled by them and report any damage or discrepancy to the supervisor. • If you are physically fit, getting full time material handlers positions should not be a difficult proposition.
