  1. Use the following methods to fix Epson Printer Error Code 0x97 1. Reset your printer: Disconnect all the cables from the printer, and reset your printer for about 5-6 minutes before proceeding. Press and hold the power button for a minute, and reconnect all cables back. You might need someone’s help to fix it. 2. Install and update your printer‘s drive: There is also the possibility that malware is the reason behind the Epson error code 0x97. If this is the cause, then install or update your printer’s malware protection. 3. Disconnect everything from the printer: Cancel any printer task and take out all paper jams from the printer. This method is easy and will work, depending on the cause of the error. After removing all paper jams, disconnect all the cables from the printer, including USB cord cable wires and power cord, and ink cartridge. Press and hold the power button of the printer for 1 minute, then plug everything back, and reinstall the ink cartridge at their respective places. Turn the printer on then take a test print. 4. Clean the print head: Take out all ink cartridges and put them on clean paper or a towel. Clean the bottom of the printhead with a clean cloth or paper dipped in warm water. Soak the printhead in the bowl with warm water for 10 minutes. Now keep the clean paper or a towel at the base of the bowl and let the printhead rest above it while soaking. Take the printhead out from the bowl carefully, and wipe if there are any water droplets or moisture Place the printhead on the paper towel and keep it for 10-15 minutes to air dry.
