This week 20 Indian startups raised funding, of which 15 received a total sum of about $72 million.   1. Funding in Indian startups this week (25 Jan-30 Jan) This week 20 Indian startups raised funding, of which 15 received a total sum of about $72 million. Among them, Mpower Financing raised the highest funding of about $25 million followed by Makers Hive, which raised around $9 million. Meanwhile, funding for 5 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed. Below is the summary of deals closed this week Phable: Healthcare services platform Phable has kicked off its Series A round with $6 million investments from Manipal Health Enterprises which operates Manipal group of hospitals and US-based accelerator SOSV.

Saveo: B2B e-commerce marketplace for pharmacies Saveo has secured $4 million in a seed round co-led by Matrix Partners India and RTP Global with the participation of Incubate Fund, India Quotient and a clutch of angel investors. Inspire Co-Spaces: Co-working space provider Inspire Co-Spaces has raised $4 million in a seed funding from angel investor Ashish Chandna. GrowFix: Digital investment platform for Securitised Debt Instruments (SDIs), GrowFix has raised $2 million in a seed round led by Zerodha’s fintech investment fund Rainmatter. Bombay Shaving Company: Reckitt Benckiser has led a $6 million funding round in direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand Bombay Shaving Company. Venwiz: Manufacturing-focused business-to-business industrial service market network, Venwiz has raised $3 million led by Accel and Nexus Venture Partners. Vista Rooms: Hospitality brand that manages a network of holiday homes, Vista Rooms has raised $1.36 million in funding led by DSG Consumer Partners. Mpower Financing: Education-loan provider to international students, Mpower Financing has raised $25 million from US-based investment management firm Tilden Park Capital Management. Elucidata: Biomedical molecular data company Elucidata has raised $5 million in its pre-Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures. Makers Hive: Bionics firm Makers Hive has raised $9 million in growth capital from an idea-stage fund established by Starfish Growth Partners and Investpad. Junio: Kids-focused fintech platform Junio has raised $1 million in a seed round from a clutch of angel investors, including Cred founder Kunal Shah, BharatPe CEO Ashneer Grover and Policybazaar’s Yashish Dahiya. SeeVC: Delhi-based technology startup SeeVC has raised $0.1 million in seed funding from Sweden-based angel investor Jimmy Singh.

  3. Headfone: Social audio platform Headfone has raised $3 million as part of its Series A funding round led by South Korean-based venture capital firm Hashed and Seung Yoon Lee. Sova Health: Lifestyle disease-focused nutrition startup Sova Health has raised $0.35 million in funding from investors including CIIE.CO, an incubator established by IIM-Ahmedabad. Ruptok: Platform for gold loans Ruptok has raised angel funding of $1.4 million from Canadian investment firm Wurk.
