  1. Nancy has been working on cars since the 1970s, opening her first business, Labyris Auto Repair in San Francisco in 1978. Moving to the East Bay, Nancy opened Grandma's Garage in 1988 (the name honors her grandmother who raised her). For more information visit the website. Nancy, though retired from ownership of the shop, still comes in when not teaching Automotive Technology at Contra Costa Community College or playing tennis.
