  1. Saline Tattoo Removal vs Laser Tattoo Removal Trying to decide which is better and what the cons and pros are? Let me help explain this in simple terms. Laser tattoo removal uses different lasers to break down pigment into small particles that then are pushed into our bodies and absorbed into the lymphatic and waste system. Laser removal can only target specific colors to break down and does not remove titanium (white). So knowing if the laser technician has the proper laser is important. Laser removal can cause scar tissue and can permanently remove brow hair. In many cases you may not be able to re-tattoo over that particular area again due to the skin trauma and resistance to hold new pigment. On the other hand Saline Removal uses the same technique used for microshading and lifts the pigment/ink up and out of the body using the natural process called Osmosis. Osmosis is a process in which the natural salts in our body become attracted to the higher concentrated amount of salt in the saline being used and pushes the pigment up and out to the surface of our skin. Some people do not like the idea of the pigment being absorbed by the lymphatic system and opt for Saline Removal. When done by an experienced and certified technician Saline Removal will not cause scaring or remove existing brow hair and allows you to re-tattoo over that area again. The amazing thing about Saline is it recognizes all pigment/ink uniformly so it removes all colors including white. So no guessing if your laser technician has the proper lasers needed to remove certain colors. With every other form of removal, there are risk of hyper-pigmentation or hypo-pigmentation (lightening or darkening of the skin’s natural pigment) which typically goes away with time. What to Expect During and After Saline Tattoo Removal?

  2. During the Procedure: •Stinging (Saline does have salts but fanning does help) •bleeding, redness and swelling (all is normal) After the Procedure: •Aftercare is essential to the success of a saline removal, You will get detailed aftercare and a follow-up appointment. •The area can stay red or discolored for a few weeks or months as the area heals. The scab is the most important formation after the procedure. This is where the pigment lifts up through the skin and attaches its self to the scab, So keeping the scab intact on the skin is very important. If you are looking for a less invasive method to remove unwanted cosmetic tattoos, Saline Tattoo Removal is a great option.
