  2. League of Legends is a popular online combat arena (MOBA) competitive game that recently exploded onto the online gaming scene. The game is published by Riot Games and was first launched for Mac and PC in 2009; later the Ios version was removed. The game features the same 5v5 game mode found in other MOBA games that pits two teams against each other on a map (called the Summoner's Rift) with the key objective being to kill the base of enemies (Nexus). League of Legends brought a 3v3 alternative to the genre of MOBA, and released the multiplayer style of Dominion. Players in Dominion are expected to catch and retain five goal points to each the health of Nexus opponents. The amount won differs depending on a variety of variables including the results of the game, the skill of the summoner and the variety of bots in action.
