The Electric Cycle Which Made a Blast

http://www.urbanebykes.com/ebykes.php - There is nothing new about technology launching all kinds of innovating ideas and electric bikes represent one of the concepts that have made a blast all around the world. Millions of people now ride on their electric bikes and enjoy nature in a less tiring way. Many people fancy the idea of travelling well and cheap, especially in times like these. One of the most impressive achievements with electric bicycles was the participation of a man into the Cycle of Sun, climbing the Haleakala Volcano, which is located in Maui. This was a whole new record, the rider taking the race in his hands, powered by only the batteries of his electric bicycle.

  1. The Electric Cycle Which Made a Blast There is nothing new about technology launching all kinds of innovating ideas and electric bikes represent one of the concepts that have made a blast all around the world. Millions of people now ride on their electric bikes and enjoy nature in a less tiring way. Many people fancy the idea of travelling well and cheap, especially in times like these. For more information, visit: http://www.urbanebykes.com/ebykes.php One of the most impressive achievements with electric bicycles was the participation of a man into the Cycle of Sun, climbing the Haleakala Volcano, which is located in Maui. This was a whole new record, the rider taking the race in his hands, powered by only the batteries of his electric bicycle. In fact, this was the very purpose of the race - to test the capacity of this particular new technological invention. From a technical point of view, his electric bike was powered by a 750 watts motor, had a hub shifter in three speeds and nickel-zinc batteries. This was a modified version because usually, battery powered bicycles don't use such powerful motors, a usual one having about two hundred fifty up to four hundred watts. However, a higher power of the motor ensures a higher speed and a lot more efficiency when climbing hills. As far as the weight was concerned, the bike weighed seven pounds, but there was another special thing about it. It used a windmill in order to be able to use solar power. This was one of the greatest challenges ever pulled off in the history of bicycles because it is well-known that the particular circuit mentioned is unapproachable by ordinary bikes, being very long and very steep, as well. This rider by the name of Randy Draper succeeded in finishing the race while ordinary bikes can only resist for about a quarter

  2. of it. Therefore, this is the power of the new battery powered bicycle which has amazed people all over the world.
