3. Choice of Beans:- Beans are the most important and most misunderstood part of the entire coffee tale. Most people would buy any coffee beans from any random grocery store, without thinking about how recently they were roasted. Freshly roasted coffee contains numerous aromatic compounds. So, the older the beans are, the less flavored the coffee is. So, for a better experience for your taste buds, choose freshly roasted beans. Beans roasted atleast 2-4 weeks ago, can be considered as freshly roasted. Roasting date is usually listed on the coffee beans package at the back of it. Proper Grinding:- You should definitely be grinding your beans yourself, if you can because we want to preserve the freshness as much as we can and post grinding the coffee starts to lose its freshness much more quickly than before. This is mainly due to the exposure to atmosphere at that point. So, the two factors that you really need to consider while grinding your coffee are, to grind it fresh ideally before you brew the coffee and to achieve a consistent grind size, which means that all the grounded coffee should be approx. the same size. Using a coffee grinder, preferably a burr grinder will help you great way to achieve the same. 5. Brewing:- There are various methods to brew a coffee and depending upon what taste, texture and qualities you're looking for , you can brew your coffee accordingly. However, make sure that before brewing the coffee, you use a scale to measure the amount of water and coffee. The ratio of coffee to water will help you determine how strong or light the end product would be. Using a scale for brewing will also make your coffee the right amount of delicious. Various brewing methods are pour over, French press, hot brew and the cold brew method.
