  1. Fire Safety Tricks For Food Trucks In today's time, Food trucks are getting popular and their popularity follows upwards trends, especially in countries like India. You’ll find them on city roads, parks, catering events, etc. They offer delicious meals at reasonable rates although the taste of the food is the same as of a meal prepared by a restaurant. The food is prepared by the chef in the truck itself so there is always a risk of fire in the truck. They use a cylinder of butane to get the source of ignition. Let's have a look at what are the main causes of fire accidents happening in food trucks. 1.Propane Tanks: The gas filled in regular cylinders used in our homes is Propane and a small amount of butane is added to it. Propane has a risk of fire in a food truck. According to the NFPA, About 70 percent of food truck fires are happened due to propane leaks in the tank or a structural failure. Most injuries and deaths occur due to leaks in propane tanks. Also, Food trucks are moved from one place to other. Moving on potholes at a high speed causes a sudden loss in the connection of the gas tank. This causes leaks in the connection and gas leaks to occur. 2. Portable Generators: Portable generators are used to provide electric connections in the food truck, but this is also another factor that causes fire in the food trucks. A minor electric short circuit caused a fire in the truck. Food Truck owners use portable generators to power other equipment. If fuel is improperly stored in the portable generator it can cause a fire. Class K Fire Extinguishers These fire extinguishers are used to combat Class K fires that involve flammable liquids commonly used to cook food. These liquids include grease, oils, and fats. These things are highly flammable in certain conditions. Once they catch fire, the flames spread quickly and are difficult to tackle. If you are thinking to use water to extinguish the fire, You are totally wrong. Water will make the situation worse. Other than Food Trucks, Class K Fire Extinguishers are used in restaurants, Hotels, and Buffets also.

  2. Here are some Fire Safety Solutions that can be applied to Food Trucks. •Keep Kitchen Clean. •Handle Flammable liquids gently. •Train your staff on how to use the Fire extinguisher. •Store Flammable liquids carefully. •Always inspect and maintain the gas connections. •Never throw Water, If a fire occurs. Conclusion Now the basic point is Food Truck Owners need to be aware of these types of situations and should know how to tackle them. Above mentioned points should be remembered and applied in your day-to-day schedule.
