Simple Life Hacks for Dog Owners| Doo Care

Being a pet enthusiast and a dog lover throughout my life, I couldn’t think of a time I didn’t have a pet (most probably a dog) with me. But as other dog owners can agree with and relate to, living with one isn’t all rainbows and sunshine, sometimes there are storms and rainy days as well. So, to clear out the sky, I am presenting here a few life hacks for the dog owners which I myself have learned throughout the years living with them.

  1. Simple Life Hacks for Dog Owners Being a pet enthusiast and a dog lover throughout my life, I couldn’t think of a time I didn’t have a pet (most probably a dog) with me. But as other dog owners can agree with and relate to, living with one isn’t all rainbows and sunshine, sometimes there are storms and rainy days as well. So, to clear out the sky, I am presenting here a few life hacks for the dog owners which I myself have learned throughout the years living with them. Do you have old, stretched out sweaters that you’re planning on throwing out? Well, why not make a winter wear out of it for your bestie (you can easily find related DIY videos on YouTube), if not, you can donate it to shelter houses for keeping adoptable dogs warm. Similarly, in summer, you can try making a dog-cooling vest with your old cargo shorts. Just put some ice packs in the cargo pockets while heading out and your pup will remain cool throughout the long walk. Disgusted by your dog’s bad breath? Freshen it up by sprinkling parsley onto his food.

  2. Next time your dog poisons itself by accidentally (or on purpose) eating chocolate or raisins, make him vomit immediately by feeding hydrogen peroxide (1 teaspoon per 5 kg body weight). If your dog has a nasty habit of eating his food too fast, try putting a ball in your dog’s food bowl. This will force him to continuously move the ball around to get to the food. Investing in a pooper scooper service on your lawn might be a good option if, for any reasons, you are unable to pick up after your dog. Remove your doggie’s pee stains from the carpet by using baking soda. Simply pour it over the stain and after letting it sit around for 20 min, vacuum it up. It works great at removing odours besides cleaning it up. Pick up your dog’s loose fur from your clothes via a roll of packing tape in case you don’t happen to have a lint roller. Does your dog love to tear apart stuffed animals? Buy him a toy hol-ee roller and stuff it with stacks of fabrics and treats. Once your dog is finished removing all the fabric from the ball, you can simply stuff it back in. Want to make sure whether it's too hot to walk your dog on the asphalt sidewalk? Place your hand on the surface for 5 sec., if you can’t hold it, your dog won’t either. During winter, apply petroleum jelly on your dog’s paws while taking him out on walks. This will remove the chances of any soreness afterward. I am sure many of you might be aware of some or all of the hacks mentioned here. But still, there are many new to this whole doggie thing. So, whether you are aware or not, I believe these methods might help in simplifying your life as a dog owner.
