  2. What is PMP Certification?  PMP certification is known as Professional Management Certification. It is a designation given by the institute imparting education pertaining to the projects. The name of the institute is called the Project Management institute. However, this PMP certification is on certain educational and experience parameters. So there is some requirement that professionals need to fulfill before applying for the PMP certification.

  3. PMP certification v/s MBA certification  There is a big debate about the PMP certification and MBA certification. There is a vast difference in both of the certification MBA program is designed to create managers to handle the organization in a general way. They are seldom focused on a particular industry or functional area. However, this helps them to take care of all the activities of the organization.  PMP certification program is designed to create professionals who possess specialized knowledge in a specific area. This is the reason why PMP certified professionals are high in demand compared to MBA professionals.

  4.  The procedure for getting a PMP certification Course is the same throughout the world  You have to apply for the PMP certification at PMI Login  Then have to pay the PMP certification exam fees (Member: USD$405 including India; Non-member: USD$555)  After this you must submit your degree certificates, 35 PDU hours, and signed experience verification forms within 90 days

  5.  Once this done you will receive an email stating that you are eligible to sit for the exam and thereafter you can fix the schedule for the exam.  The criteria for sitting in the exam are as follows:  Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)  7,500 hours leading and directing projects  35 hours of project management education  Or  Four-year degree  4,500 hours leading and directing projects  35 hours of project management education

  7. What is the preparation time for the PMP exam?  The time required to study for the exam may take from 70 to 13 hours depending on all the favorable factors. Thus if the aspirant devotes 3 hours of study sessions in a day, this adds up to 1 month, and if the aspirant studies 5 times a week (60 hours) this will take 2 -3 months to prepare for the exam.  Following are the useful tips, in a nutshell, to help the aspirant pass the exam  Study the PMBOK Guide thoroughly as the exam is largely based on this guide.  Use a Good PMP Prep Book.  Attend PMP Exam Prep Workshops.  Join Online PMP Exam Prep Workshops.  Take the help of Online PMP Exam Simulators.  Remember Flash Cards.  Participate in Study Groups and Discussion Forums.
