Comparison Between 64-bit & 32-bit Versions of Microsoft Office

For Office 2019 and Microsoft 365 Apps, the default for new installations has now been set to 64-bit. Although the considerations for using 32-bit vs. 64-bit are the same for Office 2010, 2013, and 2016, the default for new installations will remain 32-bit for now.
Shop Here: - https://www.directdeals.com/software/microsoft-office/office-2019/pro-plus.aspx
1. Comparison Between 64-bit & 32-bit Versions of Microsoft Office As of the departure of Office 2019, Microsoft is now recommending installing the Microsoft Office 2019 Professional 64-bit version of Office unless you have a specific need that still requires the 32-bit version. Mainly from an Outlook perspective, I’ve seen significantly rare instances over the past years where utilizing the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office would have caused issues, so Microsoft finally decided that the turning point has been reached. For Office 2019 and Microsoft 365 Apps, the default for new installations has now been set to 64-bit. Although the considerations for using 32-bit vs. 64-bit are the same for Office 2010, 2013, and 2016, the default for new installations will remain 32-bit for now. Benefits of utilizing the 64-bit version of Office The benefit of using the 64-bit version of Office is that it can utilize access memory when mandated. With the 32-bit version of MS Office, the application can only use up to 2GB of memory, even when more is available on your computer. Regarding Outlook, using the 64-bit version of Outlook has no immediate benefits. The functionality within Outlook is exact, and there is also no performance increase by using the 64- bit edition. There isn’t a 2GB file size limit for the 32-bit version of Outlook as for Excel and Project. The file size limitation in Outlook is determined by whether you are using anANSI or Unicode formatted pst-file.

 2. You’re creating in-house Microsoft 365 solutions such as add-ins or document-level customization. Utilizing the 64-bit version of Microsoft 365 allows you to provide a 64-bit version of those solutions and a 32-bit version. In-house Microsoft 365 resolution developers should have credentials to the 64-bit Office 2016 for testing and editing these solutions. When should you consider still using the 32-bit version? The primary reason for the only suggestion was compatibility with living add-ins for Office. For an add-in to operate with the 64-bit version of Office, it mandates to be recompiled by the developer, especially for the 64-bit version of Office. In some cases, the developer must make specific changes for 64-bit support or wait for special libraries, which the add-in relies on, to be recompiled for 64-bit. Simply put, It’s a waiting game, but nowadays, most of the widespread add-ins are available for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office. Favorite Outlook add-ins not consistent with the 64-bit version of Outlook are the Calendar Printing Assistant and Personal Folders Backup. This final add-in is a very old add-in that is also not consistent with the 32-bit version of Outlook 2013 and, after that, is no longer being offered by Microsoft. A similar issue exists with other applications that incorporate Office or rely on Office components. They must be conscious that they can also expect a 64-bit version of Office and be consistent with it. When an application integrates with Outlook at the MAPI level, this application or part also needs to be 64-bit, or the integration is lost. Specifically, for Outlook, some sync applications for (older) mobile phones and Pocket PCs do not recognize the 64-bit version of Outlook, like Windows Mobile Device Manager (WMDC). Unless you are still holding on to such an old mobile device and still relying on these synching capabilities, this will not be an issue anymore. Bottom Line And if you also want something related to a project, then Microsoft Project 2019 Standard is best for managing a project with productivity and on time.
