What are Natural Resources? Natural resources are extracted from the environment for various purposes by the other living creatures for their benefit or need and even consumed through food. Some of these natural resources are depleting on a high scale while resources like sunlight and air are found everywhere. These all resources are used for producing energy in some or the other way.
Depletion of Natural Resources Natural resources are depleting around the globe due to their excessive usage. Non renewable resources like elements, water, land etc. have decreased enormously due to the rising population. In order to serve the needs of the vast population in every region, forests are cut down on a large scale for shelter, water is used and even wasted for commercial purpose, air is polluted by the poisonous gases and agricultural land is also used for setting up new industries. If such usage of these natural resources doesn’t cut down, then we will have a tough time in the future to survive on planet earth.
Ill Effects of depletion of natural resources around the globe Depletion of natural resources has not only affected mankind but is also hazardous for the other living creatures. Aquatic life is affected due to the water pollution by chemicals let out from factories and oil spill has been a major cause of the extinction of rare fish species. Air and land are the other major elements which get polluted and directly imbalance the ecological cycle.
Conserving Natural Resources Precautions should be taken to conserve all the natural resources. Renewable resources like solar and wind energy should be used as an alternative for commercial purpose. This would help in conservation of natural resources thus protecting mankind and the other living creatures on the earth. Our future is in our hands to protect and conserve the resources for the coming years.
