  1. How to use milling Inconel to cutting tools? Milling Inconel is one of the most difficult-to-cut materials as of its low thermal diffusive stuff, high hardness, and high strength at high temperature. In this study, the effects of cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut on surface roughness as well tangential cutting force when high speed turning Inconel by ceramic and carbide cutting utensils in dry turning have been examined. After making the turning procedure, design of the experiment was selected as full factorial. The experiment grades in high speed turning using ceramic tool specified that cutting speed and feed rate in associated to depth of cut more successfully on surface roughness. Furthermore, depth of cut and feed rate in associated to cutting speed more efficiently on tangential cutting force. High speed turning with carbide tool indicated that cutting speed and feed rate in likened to depth of cut more efficiently on surface roughness. New Grade for Inconel Machining Inconel belongs to a family of nickel-based superalloys which are used widely for applications where enduring high temperatures and high corrosion resistance is essential. It is widely used in the aerospace industry in machineries which are placed in the hot section of the engine and in additional sectors of the oil industry. The microstructure of Inconel is made of an austenitic edificeenjoying high tensile and yield strength.

  2. The major problems encountered when these machining are characterized by very high temperatures on the cutting edge of the insert due to the coarse elements in the material configuration (high nickel content of 50-55% and chrome 17-21%) which causes high wear rates, fragment, notching and insert breakage. Another complexity related with Inconel is its propensity to malformed, thus due to its metallurgical sensitivity to residual stresses and self-hardening things during the cutting operation. Our aim is to efficiently machine this unique material, and has so successfully developed the IC806, which is a submicron grade with larger wear resistant properties and advanced PVD ISCAR’s SUMO TEC coating shows better results likened to competitor’s grades and other ISCAR grades.
