  5. 1. Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Maruti Alto 800 is the most affordable car in the company’s product portfolio. The Alto 800 is in its second generation now and the latest model has been specifically developed for the Indian market. Often the first car of many, the Alto 800 is a reliable, fuel-efficient and sufficiently powerful car that can give you years of happy motoring.

  6. 2. Maruti Suzuki WagonR The third-gen Maruti WagonR, which went on sale earlier this year, shares its Heartect platform with the Swift, Baleno, Ignis and new-gen Ertiga. The highly practical tallboy hatchback is on sale with 1.0 and 1.2 petrol engine options and even gets an optional AMT.

  7. 3. Maruti Suzuki Celerio Maruti Celerio is a practical hatchback that looks less boxy than the Wagon R and offers a more premium experience by offering a better quality cabin. The Celerio is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and can even purchased with an AMT.

  8. 4. Maruti Suzuki Swift Maruti Swift is easily the sportiest car in its segment. It even looks quite funky and comes with petrol and diesel engines that offer a good mix of performance and fuel economy. The Swift is also quite affordable, both in new and used car markets, and is fairly easy to maintain.

  9. 5. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga The new Ertiga is based on Suzuki’s Heartect platform, which Maruti says is more rigid yet lightweight than the previous platform. Apart from the new platform, the Ertiga also benefits from a new petrol engine - a 1.5-litre unit that’s also accompanied with SHVS mild- hybrid technology. The engine is more powerful than the outgoing 1.4-litre unit by 13PS and makes 8Nm more torque.

  10. 6. Maruti Suzuki S-presso The Maruti hatchback S-PRESSO is provided with a 1.0-litre petrol engine (68PS/90Nm) paired with either a 5- speed manual or AMT. Maruti also offers select variants with a CNG kit with the 1.0-litre petrol engine (59PS/78Nm), mated to a 5-speed MT. This engine has a 55-litre (water equivalent) fuel tank.

  11. 7. Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire The Maruti Dzire is one of the highest-selling cars in the country, which is due to the compact sedan’s spacious cabin, frugal engines, good ride quality and low cost of maintenance MALAK EL HALABI

  12. 8. Maruti Suzuki EECO The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a simple MPV meant for point A to point B transport. This MPV has been designed to be a workhorse and is available in five- and seven-seater configurations. it is a reasonably comfortable people-mover and not only is it affordable to buy, but owning one is pocket-friendly too thanks to its low-on-maintenance nature. It is a no-frills multi-purpose vehicle that comes with Maruti’s brand backing and is a good buy for someone who just needs the bare basics.

  13. 9. Maruti Suzuki Brezza The Maruti Vitara Brezza is among the highest selling SUV in India. it’s powered by a 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces 90 PS and 200 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT. The highly popular sub-4-metre compact SUV has an ARAI-rated mileage of 24 kmpl.

  14. 2. Check the Insurance Policies

  15. We spend so much time researching the latest model, the jazziest colours, the snazziest of safety features and we love it! But most of us know way too little about car insurance and all that it entails. Since the dealer is the one who will submit the appropriate paperwork to the DMV, the agent representing the company must verify you have the insurance that's required by law. If you can't provide proof, the company can't give you the keys until you can. The value of your insurance policy is based on the IDV- the Insured Declared Value of your vehicle, which is the maximum insured amount sum the insurer can pay you; it roughly equals the market value of your vehicle. So, when you buy insurance for a new car, the IDV is calculated based on the showroom's listed price. However, the IDV of your car is not constant. When you renew your motor policy after a year, your IDV will decrease because of the rate of depreciation that is applied on vehicles between one and two years old. IDV = (Manufacturers listing price - Depreciation)

  16. 3. Test Drive the Powertrain and Variant

  17. A perfect test drive can vastly help you in making the final decision. Take your family or friend with you for the test drive. Their feedback will help you notice things that you may miss otherwise. Try to park it in the space where you park your own vehicle or where you intend to park the new vehicle that you’re buying. Take a USB drive with some music in it to test the infotainment system of the car. Also, connect your phone to the Bluetooth to check for compatibility. Explore the car. Sit at the front and rear seat to check if the leg, shoulder and headroom are enough. Notice access to storage spaces from all seats. If you travel a lot, especially with family, check if the boot space is enough. Test the car on the route where you are going to use it frequently. Fiddle with the controls for instrument cluster, other switches and storage compartments to gauge the overall quality Before test driving the car, adjust the driver's seat and steering to your liking and notice visibility in all directions. Drive the car at varying speeds in different gears and note the noise, vibrations and harshness in the cabin due to traffic, wind, tyre noise, etc.
