  1. What You Need to Know About Disabled Driving David H Kowalski EMC

  2. David H Kowalski EMC has been in the automobile retrofitting business for over three decades and has built a successful business in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He uses his skills as an electro-mechanical engineer to retrofit cars with controls for the physically impaired. Gone are the days when the physically impaired could not drive cars. With the advancement in technology, automotive adaptive devices have made it possible for the physically impaired to drive automobiles just like everyone else. Here are a few things you need to know about disabled driving

  3. Take the Driving Test David H Kowalski EMC has retrofitted hundreds of cars and knows that everyone who wants to drive has to take a written and driving test. After passing the test, you will receive your learner’s permit with which you can practice driving until your road test.

  4. Special Modifications As a person with physical disabilities, you will need to show the licensing authority that you can drive the car safely. Your car will have to be retrofitted with a special steering wheel hand control, braking, throttle, and signaling controls. The car will also need to have a second set of controls in the passenger seat.

  5. Take the Test Once your car is properly retrofitted with special controls, you will need to show it to the licensing officer and take the road test. After passing the test, you will be issued your driver’s license. David H Kowalski EMC knows how important it is for the physically impaired to have their cars custom retrofitted so that they can drive comfortably.
