  2. Overview • Developing proper eating habits in kids is important it balances the basis of forming long time healthy habits. A complete nutrition food and products is more necessary for primary growth and development.

  3. Fats And Mineral Oils • Fat and minerals are one of the essential nutrient for developing child as it gives essential fatty acids for growing brain and body. In cooking use healthy oils, e.g. Soybean, canola and olive oil regularly keep the whole family healthy & fit.

  4. Benefits Of Fruits And Vegetables • At young age kids more require to enjoy fruits and vegetables. Eating regularly fruits time wisely to cultivate in child a love for nature’s source of vitamins, minerals, fiber or antioxidants.

  5. Encourage Whole Grains • Whole grains are intact and not processed. They consist fiber and other important nutrients. Whole grain foods includes: whole wheat chapatti, whole grain bread, brown rice, oats, etc. Introduce whole grains gradually in your child’s diet. Start with ½ to1 serving/ day. e.g. 1 serving: 1 slices of whole wheat bread or ½ cooked cup of cooked oats.

  6. Choose Healthier Drinks • Both milk and water keeps the healthiest drink and also nutritious food for the kids. The basic need around 500 ml of milk in a day. Clean, boiled and fresh potable water keeps the best thirst quenchers for long hours. According to US Institute of Medicine, toddlers need about 1.3 liter of fluid a day.

  7. Less Amount Salt And Sugar In Kids Diet • A maximum amount of sodium diet increase the risk of high blood pressure and include too much sugary foods or drinks that leads to: overweight, which is a silent killer for chronic disease and teeth.
