  2. What to Expect When Visiting Diamond Head ◦ When you visit Diamond Head, you'll be rewarded with a 360-degree view of the city, the ocean, the crater, and the hillsides below. The trail is about 0.8 miles long and is suitable for most visitors. You can hike alone or bring your children. Parking is easy to find. Aside from visiting Diamond Head, you can also check out Byodo-in Temple. ◦ The trail is 0.8-mile one-way. ◦ The Diamond Head Trail is a 0.8-mile one-way walk with military and geological history. It begins at the old army station and ends at the abandoned fire control station. This hike can take about two hours to complete. You may even see a humpback whale in the wintertime.

  3. What to Expect When Visiting Diamond Head Parking is plentiful ◦ Visitors are advised to reserve parking spots before their trip to Diamond Head State Monument, which is located in Hawaii. While this is not mandatory, it ◦ helps control the crowds. Visiting the monument requires an entrance fee of $5 for non-residents and a $10 parking fee—children under three enter for free. Visitors should arrive early to avoid the mid-day crowds.
