  2. A Trip to the Hawaii Botanical Garden in Oahu ◦ If you're looking for a quiet place to spend a relaxing afternoon, a trip to the Hawaii botanical garden in Oahu might be the perfect place to start. While Honolulu is bustling, the botanical garden or even Byodo-in Temple can provide a respite in a beautiful setting. Take a stroll among the lush greenery or wander around the peaceful grounds. • Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden ◦ The Ho'omaluhia Botanic Garden is located on the Windward side of Oahu in Kaneohe. This tropical garden contains many different types of plants from around the world, organized by region. ◦ To reach the botanical garden, take the Kamehameha Highway southbound from Honolulu. Then turn left onto Luluku Road. You will be on the island of Oahu in 20 minutes. Be sure to check with guards before taking pictures. Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden is one of the closest locations to the city.

  3. A Trip to the Hawaii Botanical Garden in Oahu • Koko Crater Botanical Garden ◦ A botanical garden on Oahu's eastern end, the Koko Crater Botanical Gardens is a must-visit for botanical garden enthusiasts. This place, also known as the Charles M. Wills Cactus Garden, was named by the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation in 1966. This garden has over 3,000 species of cactus and other succulents to explore. • Foster Botanical Garden ◦ One of Oahu's five public botanical gardens, Foster Botanical Garden covers 13.5 acres of lush, tropical plant life. It is located at 50 North Vineyard Boulevard, near Chinatown, on the island of Oahu. To reach the garden, turn left on Nu'uanu Avenue and proceed a few blocks north. Take a slight left at the intersection of Vineyard Boulevard and Nu'uanu Avenue.

  4. A Trip to the Hawaii Botanical Garden in Oahu ◦ The Foster Botanical Garden isn't as well-known as its namesake despite the park's name. Though surrounded by concrete buildings, it's still easy to get there from San Francisco. Take the H-1 freeway, exit the "Pali" cutoff and follow Vineyard Boulevard to the gardens. You'll be glad you did. The garden's peaceful setting and numerous memorials will leave you speechless. ◦ Go Tours Hawaii is here to help you find more things in Hawaii.
