  1. Build an AR-15 Rifle in Compliance with California State Laws The state of California is a tough nut to crack when it comes to owning firearms. This state has long been the flag bearer of tough gun laws that many other states follow in order to control chaos and crimes. One of the most targeted weapons by the gun laws is the AR-15 rifle which is categorized as an assault weapon. But all the gun fanatics, creators, lawyers and manufacturers have gone to great lengths to ensure that this modern black rifle is easily owned by the people of California while staying within the limits set by the state. Let’s get into the details of the AR Lower California and how we can build one to stay in accordance with the state laws. An AR-15 Rifle An AR-15 is a semi-automatic, lightweight rifle that is heavily inspired by the AR-10 in terms of style and design. This rifle is a great option for hunting, sport shooting competitions, target practice and even for home defense. An AR Lower California rifle is also heavily customizable and a versatile weapon. This became the reason for its scrutiny under the law firms as the number of accessories and add-ons that can be included or attached with the rifle were just too dangerous to be legalized without any restrictions. The features like thumbhole, forward grips and flash hider made it a very dangerous weapon that couldn’t be allowed to be sold freely. How to make An AR-15 Rifle in Compliance with the California State Laws? The most important thing to remember is that all California legal guns should be featureless. By featureless I mean everything about the weapon should be standard and nothing too extraordinary or dangerous. When talking about an AR-15 rifle there really are two options to make it legal and in obedience to the California state laws. First option is to build the rifle in the good old way of detachable magazines with no forbidding add-ons or the second option is to have fixed 10-round magazines but have the liberty to enjoy the petrifying features. But first let’s have a little insight about the features or add-ons that everyone loves but California hates! Features To Avoid for a California Compliant Rifle Pistol Grip- as the name suggests, the pistol grip feature allows you to hold a rifle in a pistol fashion which makes it that much more dangerous. It allows your hand to completely wrap around the grip and also allows you to pull the trigger simultaneously. This combination of actions is prohibited by the law. Thumbhole Stock- although this feature is not very common among people but that doesn’t make it any less dangerous as it allows the shooter to rest the thumb of its trigger hand and pass it through the stock. This helps to absorb heavier recoils with ease and pull the trigger more frequently.

  2. Telescoping Stock- The folding stock makes an AR-15 rifle quite compact and easier to carry when not in use. If you want your rifle to be California compatible, make sure it has a fixed stock. Grenade or Flare Launcher-I don’t think I need to say much about this one as the name clearly suggests how dangerous this feature can be if allowed to the general public. This feature can easily put big fat holes in any living or non-living thing. Flash Suppressor or Muzzle Breaks- the small muzzle devices are attached in front of the muzzle to reduce the flash that is caused by the shooting. This feature not only prevents the shooter from being blinded by the flash but also the people around them making it more dangerous and killing. It also makes the cavity at the end of the muzzle bigger as compared to bullet caliber. Forward Pistol Grip- the forward grip or the vertical grip that allows the shooter to hold a rifle in a pistol fashion is a total no-go when it comes to California legal guns. All these features are allowed on your AR-15 rifle if only you have a 10-round fixed magazine but if you don’t want to compromise on your magazine capacity then you have to miss out on these features and make a featured rifle. Is a Featureless rifle even worth it? Having all the features above with a magazine capacity of 20-30 rounds will make any weapon so lethal and dangerous that it would be like calling for trouble if any state allows it. The main concern here is to limit the capacity of the rounds to a maximum of 10 rounds to ensure that after that the shooter has to practically stop, reload and then go on, making it much safer and harmless for the people around. Takeaway Points The interesting fact here is that 80% AR Lower California rifles are legal as they require a thorough background check, it also requires the owners to apply for a serial number from the California Department of Justice. Once the number is allotted, it must be engraved at the Lower of the rifle.
