  1. CoreMorrow Piezo Clamp Effect of Clamping Wire Is Measured! CoreMorrow Piezo Clamp Effect of Clamping Wire Is Measured! With the increasingly wide application of the piezo clamp, based on piezoelectric and mechanical principles, CoreMorrow has designed a new type of piezo clamp - XD002.150K, which is also called piezo pliers by many users. The movement of the piezo clamp is driven by the piezo actuator. Through the flexible mechanical structure design, the linear micro-displacement of the piezo actuator is amplified to reach a displacement of more than 100 microns, thereby completing the clamping of the metal wire. The clamping displacement (or clamping force) of the XD002.150K piezo clamp is controlled by the output driving voltage of CoreMorrow piezo controller, and the relationship between the driving voltage and the clamping displacement is roughly linear. CoreMorrow has actually tested the clamping effect of the piezo clamp. In the test, an aluminum wire with a diameter of about 0.49mm is used as an example. After the first pull stops, use XD002.150K to clamp and release the lead, and the clamping force is different each time. After the test, the appearance changes of the aluminum wire before and after clamping were compared. The specific experimental test operation steps are detailed as follows: Aluminum Wire Partition Marker The tested aluminum wire is first zone marked. As shown in the figure below, mark A, B, C, D, E a total of 5 points, divide the aluminum wire into 4 sections, and stop at the middle area of the two marked points after each subsequent pull.

Aluminum Wire Surface Inspection After 5 marking points were made, the appearance of aluminum wire surface in the partition range between each two marking points was observed with an electron microscope for comparison after the experiment. Piezo Clamp Clamping Aluminum Wire The aluminum wire is clamped with a piezo clamp. In the test, the piezo clamp was operated with clamping force at 15V, 20V, 30V, and 40V respectively. The specific process starts from point A: Pull aluminum wire - stop between A to B: 15V - clamping, 150V - open; Pull aluminum wire - stop between B to C: 20V - clamping, 150V - open; Pull aluminum wire - stop between C to D: 30V - clamping, 150V - open;

The difference in this process is that the clamping force of the piezo clamp is different each time it is clamped. It is experimentally measured that when the driving voltage is 15V, 20V, 30V, and 40V, the piezo clamp can stably hold the aluminum wire without moving. Aluminum Wire Surface Inspection After the testing, the surface of the aluminum wire was detected by an electron microscope, and it could be seen that the surface of the aluminum wire in the partition range was smooth and there was no trace of damage.
