Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawanon Ka – Naya Daur This song set to the tune of Bhangra, with accompanying dance is one of my favourite patriotic songs. It fills you with pride for being born in India and gives you the motivation to get up and do something for the country. A very positive and encouraging song. This patriotic song is awesome.
Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja, Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja, Khushi Ke Geet Gaye Ja. This motivational song was the regimental quick march of Subhas Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army. Written by Pt. Vanshidhar Shukla and composed by Ram Singh Thakuri.
Jahan Daal Daal Par Sone Ke Chidiya – Sikandar E Azam (1965) This song is about the golden past of India, the one we have only read about or heard of. Now that I see fragments of ancient India scattered across, this song tells me to work on bringing back that golden era.
I love my India Shah Rukh Khan’s Pardes (1997) featured this cute song where a happy Amrish Puri croons his love for his homeland as kids hop and play around him in the fields. It also featured Mahima Choudhary.
Satyamev Jayate TV show: Aamir Khan’s first TV show made an impression even before its premiere thanks to the patriotic song composed by Ram Sampath and written by adman and ace lyricist Prasoon Joshi. Satyamev Jayate was on the ringtones soon after. Do listen!! Satyamev Jayate –
Mere Desh Ki Dharti – Upkar (1967) This is a rooted song, rooted in the agrarian society that India continues to be. It talks about the farmer and the soldier, the two people who were most important when this film came out.
Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo Indians are proving this 15-year-old song right today. Yes, Indians are venturing into comedy and gaining accolades for sports, but the buck doesn’t stop there. Indian population is part of the global market, even outside of unconventional fields. Today, it is very common to find someone from our country making it big in mainstream fields such as Software Engineering and Digital Marketing.
