  2. Our Story Childhood friends, Darek Bell and Andrew Webber, began homebrewing beer and wine in Darek and Amy Lee Bell’s garage. They hit a snag while working on a prototype bio-diesel plant, causing Andrew to remark that making whiskey would be much more satisfying. The idea stuck, and the two soon found themselves studying distilleries and spirits. Soon after, in 2008, Corsair Distillery was founded in Bowling Green, KY. By 2010, Corsair set its marks where it all started, becoming the first craft distillery in Nashville since prohibition. Corsair’s spirits have been praised in publications like Food and Wine, Saveur, Imbibe, Whisky Magazine, Whisky Advocate, the Atlantic, Time Out New York, and Maxim.com. Corsair’s innovative and adventurous spirits have won over 800 medals at national and international spirits competitions.

  3. Our Story As Nashville has grown, Corsair has grown with it. With two Nashville natives at the head of the business, Corsair has expanded greatly since its arrival in 2010. In January 2016, Corsair opened its doors to a second Nashville location, the WeHo Headquarters. Not only did this move create office spaces and more barrel storage, but it allowed for the creation of craft whiskey on a higher production scale. This gave Corsair the opportunity to produce more small batch craft beers at, what is now called, the Marathon Village Brewstillery. Now, not only can you get craft spirits from Corsair, but also craft beers. Utilizing local farms and Corsair’s local malthouse and smokehouse, we strive to put “Nashville in a bottle”. And as tourism booms and more and more people are moving into Nashville, we only continue to grow around the city we love.   9. FAQs Do I need a reservation to tour? Yes, we highly recommend you create a reservation to tour either of our Nashville facilities. On weekends and within busy seasons, we cannot always accommodate walk-in tour groups. Tour reservations, availability, and details can be found under the tours tab on our website. Can I get a refund? Tour refunds are stated at the bottom of your tour reservation confirmation email. Tours of 5 guests and under can receive a refund within 24 hours to the start of the scheduled tour, while 6+ guest reservations require 48 hours. You cannot be credited or refunded for missing the cancellation window or not showing for your reservation. Refunds on merchandise and gift shop supplies can be refunded with a receipt or receipt number, given the integrity of the item(s) remains. All alcohol sales are final.

  10. FAQs Do I need to tour in order to taste? No, you are always welcome to join us at the bar where we do tastings of our full line up of spirits from Gin to Hopped Whiskey to Triple Smoke. Looking to grab a cocktail? Head over to one of our Nashville facilities to get some of the cheapest and tastiest craft cocktails in town (not just our opinion.) Can we bring our kids along? Furry kids? Yes, you can bring your kids! However, you cannot leave your children unattended in the bar or distillery area – duh. Non-alcoholic beverages are for sale at the bar. Each child, non-drinker, under-ager, etc is $7 per person for tours – 12 years and under are FREE. Dogs are welcome on our patio areas, but cannot be left unattended, so do not plan to bring your dog and tour at the same time. Please also mind that we have house cats and this is their space first.

  11. FAQs Can I schedule an event at the distillery? We would love to have you! We can do anything from rehearsal dinners to holiday parties to small get-togethers. Pricing varies by location, wants/needs, etc. so these details will help us quote your potential event. Please inquire for events using the contact page. What do I need to bring to the distillery? A respectful attitude, cash or card, friends, and a valid ID. Whether you are 21 or 120 years of age, we need to see a form valid (non-expired) government-issued, photo identification if you’d like to consume our spirits. The consumption of spirits under the age of 21, consumption after failure to show a valid ID, and outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.
