  1. 5 Steps for Testing and Maintenance of Benchtop Fume Hood A benchtop fume hood is a cost-effective and compact option for static fume hoods depending on the application. The top bench hoods are ideal for smaller footprint installations, laboratories and workspaces, and can be moved easily on and off-site. A fixed floor fume hood is typically large stationary equipment that is normally positioned at a standing height on five sides of the work area.
