  1. A QUICK GUIDE TO MAINTAINING YOUR HOME'S WOODEN FURNISHINGS Wooden furniture is often the pride and joy of homeowners, serving as the main point of each space and ranking among their most valued assets. Wood is without a doubt the material that retains the most sentimental value in people's hearts out of all those used to make house furnishings. You want to take good care of your furniture, whether it's a dining or coffee table, excellent timber framed couches or beds, antique dressers and Indian sideboards, or handcrafted chairs. After all, premium hardwood items are not inexpensive. However, they are constantly vulnerable to the regular filth and dings that come with living in a house, as well as the occasional bump and scrape, which, if left to accumulate over time, can make even the most expensive furniture look worn. Furniture being an important part of the home makes them beneficial as well as sentimental. They are part of our daily activities to support our basic needs. One of the most well-known woods for furniture is Indian wood. The Indian furniture is easy to maintain. The basic rules for maintaining your furniture: Dust frequently Dusting is the task you should perform the most frequently on wooden furniture. This is not an additional strain because it is advised to regularly dust your entire house for both health and aesthetic reasons. Allowing layers of dust to accumulate is not a good idea when caring for wooden furniture since it can start to create fine scratching, especially on glossy surfaces. Your furniture will eventually start to seem drab and tarnished as a result of this. The optimum method for polishing wood is up for debate. Periodically Sanitise In addition to dusting your wooden furniture sometimes, perhaps once a month or two, it's a good idea to occasionally wipe it down with water and a cleaning agent. The exception to this rule is furniture like dining and Indian wood coffee tables, which should be cleaned with soap and water after each usage to get rid of debris like food and drink.
