2. ? BRIEF OVERVIEW ? Kedarnath Kedarnath is a holy temple of Lord Shiva in Uttarakhand, high in the Himalayas. It is part of the Char Dham Yatra and opens from April to October. People reach it by a 16 km trek from Gaurikund or by helicopter. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, it is a peaceful and spiritual place. TUNGNATH Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world, located in Uttarakhand at an altitude of about 3,680 meters. It is one of the five Panch Kedar temples and is believed to be over 1,000 years old. The trek to Tungnath is about 3.5 km from Chopta and is considered short and easy, offering stunning views of the Himalayas. The temple is open from May to November and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a peaceful and spiritual spot surrounded by beautiful nature.
