  3. SPADelhi SPA Delhi is one of the three institutes of national importance, which laid its foundation in 1941. The ministry of education, the Government of India, approved the university to function as a university. The university has its location in New Delhi, Delhi NCR. The University Grants Commission recognized the SPA Delhi. Moreover, the university got its approval from COA. Admissions Admissions in SPA Delhi takes place in both online and offline mode.   5. HISTORY Earlier in 1941, SPA Delhi came into existence as a Department of Architecture of Delhi Polytechnic. The institution got its affiliation from the University ofDelhi. The institution also integrated with the School of country and town planning established by the Government of India in 1955. Then in 1955, it was named as School of Planning and Architecture. Also, in 1979, the institution got its "Deemed University" status from the Ministry of Education andCulture.
