Introduction • The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana (BSEH) holds the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test or HTET exam for recruiting Primary Teachers (Level -1), Trained Graduate Teachers (Level 2), and Post Graduate Teachers (Level 3). • The HTET 2021 application form is supposed to be released in November or December this year on the BSEH official website. The application fees for this exam for the candidates of all other states except Haryana are Rs. 1000/- for PGT and Rs.1800/- for TGT. You can pay the fees online. • The pattern of HTET exam is different for the various levels. The question paper will be in both Hindi and English except in the language section. The subjects which are mandatory for each level are Quantitative Aptitude, English, Hindi, Reasoning Ability, General Knowledge, and Child Development and Pedagogy. • The qualified candidates will receive the HTET certificate. As the Education Minister has declared, the certificate will be valid for a lifetime.

  3. Educational Qualifications: • 1. Primary Teacher (PRT) • Minimum educational qualifications to apply for HTET PRT are as follows: • Higher Secondary (HS) or equivalent with 50% marks in 2 years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (El. Ed.). • Or • HS or equivalent with 45% or above marks in 2 years’ Diploma in El. Ed. • Senior Secondary or equivalent with 50% or above marks in the final year of the 4 -year B.El.Ed course (both passed and appearing candidates are allowed to apply). • HS or equivalent with 50% or above marks, who has already appeared in or completed the final semester of 2 years’ Diploma in Education (Special Education) • Passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-years Diploma in El. Ed. • Passed Secondary with Hindi/Sanskrit or completed HS/ UG/ PG with Hindi. • Age: • People who are 18 to 38 years old at the time of application are eligible to apply. There might be some relaxation for specific reserved categories. But that may vary from year to year. Refer to the official notification regarding this once it is out. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) • Minimum educational qualifications to apply for HTET (TGT) are as follows: • Graduation in the concerning stream and appearing in or passed the final year of 2-year Diploma in El. Ed. • UG in the applicable stream with at least 50% and pursuing or completed 1-year B.Ed. • Graduation in the particular subject with 45% or above marks and pursuing or completed 1-year B.Ed. • HS or equivalent with 50% or above marks and completed or appearing in the final semester of the 4- year B.El.Ed. • Higher Secondary or any equivalent with 50% or above marks and completed or appearing in the last year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. • Graduation in the applicable subject with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) • 3. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) • Minimum educational qualifications to apply for HTET (TGT) are as follows: • PG on the applicable subject with 50% or above marks • B. Ed. • Secondary with Hindi & Sanskrit or HS/UG/PG in Hindi • Impressive and consistent academic record

  5. HTET Exam Syllabus HTET Exam Pattern • In the official notification of HTET 2020-21, BSEH also specified the syllabus of the exams for each post. Hence, how many subjects the candidates will have to appear for depends on the posts they have applied for. Below is the summarised syllabus of the HTET exam. • The common subjects for all the posts are— Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, GK, English, Hindi, Child Development and Pedagogy. For levels 2 and 3, viz. posts of Trained Graduate Teachers and Post Graduate Teachers, the additional subject will be the subject which the candidate has applied for. For the Primary Teacher candidates, the additional sections will be Mathematics and Environmental Science. • HTET Exam Pattern depends on the post or the level of the exam. Yet, one thing is common for all the levels— which is the total number of questions will be 150. You have to solve the paper within 2 hours 30 minutes. The major points of the exam pattern are as follows: • This is an offline exam, i.e., pen and paper based. • The questions will be multiple-choice type, with four options for each question. • You will score 1 mark for each right answer. • Negative marking does not apply to HTET exam. • The paper will be both in Hindi and English mediums.

  6. If the speculations based on the previous years go correctly, the admit card for the HTET exam is supposed to be released in January 2022 by BSEH on their official website. Yet, note that BSEH does not send the admit card via posts. Hence, all the candidates are suggested to keep an eye on the official website for the latest notice. But we will also update you as soon as any new information comes up, so no need to worry. • You have to download the admit card by logging in to your profile on the official website. Remember the registration id and password— even better, save it in the browser. You will also require to carry a valid proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Driving License along with the admit card to the exam hall. • These are the steps to download the admit card, once it is released: • Open your browser and go to the official website of BSEH, which is http://www.bseh.org.in • On the Home page, there should be a link to the HTET 2021 Admit Card. Open the link and log in with your registration id and password. • In your profile, you will see the admit card ready to be downloaded. • Go through the details carefully.   7. HTET Exam Result • The result of HTET 2020-21 was declared for all the levels on 8th April, 2021. Candidates can access the results from the official website of the Board of Secondary Education, Haryana: http://www.bseh.org.in • Besides, HTET certificates with life-long validity have also been published online. Also, the answer keys of levels 1, 2, and 3 of HTET 2020-21 had come to availability on 4th January, 2021.

  8. How to Check the HTET Exam Result? • Last year, the result of HTET was announced nearly two months after the written exam. The pdf of the result will be available on the official website of BSEH. Shortlisted candidates will be posted in different schools of Haryana. • This is how the candidates can view and download their results: • Visit the online website of the Board of Secondary Education, Haryana, which is http://www.bseh.org.in • There should be a link called ‘Results’ on the Home page. Open this link. • All the exams of BSEH will appear as a list. Select the relevant one. • A pdf will open in another tab and it will show the names and roll numbers of all the selected students.

How ToApply? • The application for HTET 2021 will supposedly start in November or December 2021. • Hereby, the application procedure for HTET exam has been formulated step-by-step: • Application Part-I: Registration • Visit the official website – www.bseh.org.in • On the Home page, click on the link that says “HTET 2021 application form” • It is better to go through all the instructions before you start filling in the information. • After that, fill in the mandatory fields. Also, you will need a valid phone number and email id for applying. So make sure you actually have these. • Save your progress and hit the “Submit” button. A provisional User ID & registration number will be generated and mailed to the email address you have registered with. • Application Part-II: Document upload and payment • In this step, latest passport size colour photograph and scanned images of the signature and thumb impression of the applicant must be uploaded. For detailed specifications, scroll down. • You need to complete the payment before the application closes. Otherwise, your candidature will not be granted. • After payment, take several coloured printouts of the completed application form.

  10. ImportantFAQ Q.1 What is the probation period for HTET 2021? A. Usually, the probation period for the teachers recruited through the HTET exam is one year. Q.2 How many vacancies have been released? A. The vacancies are yet to be released. We expect that more information on this will be available once the official notification is released by the BSEH, which is expected to happen in November or December 2021. Q.3 Can a final year graduation student apply for HTET Exam? A. To apply for HTET, you require a B.Ed or B.El.Ed. degree. However, if you are in the final year of that course, you can apply. Yet, you have to produce the final mark sheet and certificate of completion at the time of joining. So, you have just completed your graduation, you have to pursue a B.Ed or B.El.Ed. course first. Hence, you can understand that if you are just in your final year of graduation, without any of the degrees mentioned above, you cannot apply. Q.4 What are the age criteria to apply for HTET 2021? A. The lower age limit is 18 years and the upper age limit is 38 years to apply for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. Q.5 What is the salary of the HTET 2021? A. The pay scale is different for different posts and levels. The base pay of a PRT is Rs. 35400-112400/- per month and the salary of a TGT (Level 2) is Rs. 47600-151100/-. Also, those recruited for the post of PGT get almost Rs. 44900-142400/- per month.
