GCET Exam

<br>GCET(Goa Common Entrance Exam) is a state-level exam participated by many colleges meant for undergraduates. Many colleges accept exam scores as an entry requirement. This exam was conducted for Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Medicine, Homoeopathy, Architecture, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences courses. Each section has 75 questions, and the exam is administered over two days. The exam has three sections, and each section is conducted for two hours.   2. Introduction • This exam is also known as Goa Common Entrance Exam. It is a state-level exam. It is meant for undergraduates. Many colleges participate in the GCET exam. The test scorecard is used as an entry point to several colleges. The courses for the exam include: • Engineering. • Nursing. • Pharmacy. • Dentistry. • Medicine. • Homoeopathy. • Architecture. • Ayurveda. • Allied Health Sciences. • The exam is conducted once a year. https://dte.goa.gov.in is the official website for aspirants. The exam is conducted for 2 hours each. The exam is administered for 2 days. There are 3 segments for the test. Each category has 75 questions. The DTE is responsible for administering the exam.

  3. GCET Exam Eligibility Criteria • Candidates appearing for GCET 2021 must check their eligibility. The basic criteria to satisfy are: • The “Nationality Criteria”. Indian and NRIs can apply for the GCET exam. OCI and PIO can be applicants for the exam. • The “Age Limit”. The candidate has to be more than 17 years. • Aspirants with valid scorecards are eligible for the GCET exam. Scorecards of GCET, NEET, NATA. • The Kashmiri Migrants can also apply for GCET. The student should be 12th passed. Must have English, Physics, and Maths as compulsory subjects. Must have scored 45% or more in Physics and Mathematics.

  6. GCET Exam Admit Card • The admit card for GCET is available towards the fourth week of August. Individuals have to log in to the official website https://dte.goa.gov.in. They then have to enter the credentials to download the admit card. Every individual has to carry the admit card to the exam hall. Without an admit card. The student is not permitted to enter the hall. Candidates must carry a photo ID card. • The subsequent steps should be followed to get a GCET to admit card: • Candidates have to visit the DTE centre in Goa. • The candidate has to submit the application form. • The photo id card will be given to the aspirant. • The aspirant must check all the details mentioned. • Individuals must keep a photocopy of the admit card for reference.

  7. GCET Exam Result • The GCET 2021 result was released on 3rd August 2021. It got released on the official website. The result was available in PDF format. In the PDF, the candidate’s name and subject-wise marks are given. The GCET merit list will be released on August 31st, 2021. On September 1st, the final merit list will be available. The students are given seats according to their rank. • To download the result from the website, the students must proceed stepwise i.e • Log in to the official GCET website https://dte.goa.gov.in. • A link would be provided showing “ Results Declared for GCET”. • The page would redirect the candidate to the login window to view the result. • The scorecard for the GCET test will be displayed on the screen. • In the PDF, the student’s roll number and marks will be mentioned. • The students must save the scorecard. The PDF will be required during admission.

Click on the tab. • Download Form A of GCET application. • Take a printout. • Fill in the details • a) Personal Credentials. • b) Details of Education. • c) Details of Exam. • Attach a recent photograph in the allotted space. • Signature of the candidate in the box given in the form. • A demand draft of Rs.2000 should be made. The application has to be sent to DTE. • Photocopies of Demand Draft.
