ABOUTUNIVERSITY The Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management University is also called EIILM university. It is situated in the Budang of Sikkim, India. Moreover, the state government of the Sikkim established the university in 2006, under Act no 4. Above all, UGC recognized and gave it the power to accord degrees under section 2(f) of the Private University Act, 1956. However, it should be noted that UGC and the State government of Sikkim canceled the license of the university after conducting a cabinet meeting in 2015. Hence, the university has ceased functioning after December 2014. Consequently, it has no right to conduct admissions, classes, or to award degrees. The University used to offer UG, PG, and Doctoral programs in various streams. For instance, some of the streams were Science and Technology, Engineering, Management, Fashion Technology, Linguistics, Humanities, Safety and Health, Library Science, Environment management, Law, Journalism, Indian Medicine and Homeopathy, Computer Science, Commerce, Agriculture, etc.
HISTORY The Force behind the establishment was EIILM Kolkata. In fact, it was established in 1995. It also started teaching MBA programs. Moreover, its courses were AICTE approved as well. Later, one institute was opened in Sikkim. The State government of Sikkim recognized the institute as a university in 2006, under Act no 4. Above all, the UGC approved its courses. Initially, the institute was set up with the aim to impart career education through integrated learning. Moreover, the institute was also famous for having EQUIS quality standards. INFRASTRUCTURE Foundationally, the infrastructure is the backbone of an institution. It makes various types of curricular as well as extra-curricular activities possible.
