3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University was established in 2005. The former Prime Minister of India laid the foundation of this university. Moreover, the university has various colleges under its affiliation. The University Grants Commission, along with the All India Council for Technical Education, has approved CSVTU. The university offers courses in many fields, including Management, Medical, Pharmacy, and Engineering. The university also offers many scholarships for the students, especially the ones who have good merit. Additionally, students who belong to ST/SC categories also get scholarships.

5. HISTORY Initially, the State Government of Chhattisgarh took a decision to establish an institution that would focus on the field of Technology and Engineering. Moreover, The Chhattisgarh State Assembly approved an act on a similar matter. After that, CSVTU was established with a quality and efficient education in those two fields. Additionally, the university expanded its affiliated colleges over time, and now, it has more than 25 Polytechnics colleges and around 60 Engineering colleges.

8. COURSES OFFERED Bachelors: CSVTU offers many courses in the Undergraduate level which includes, B.E, B.Pharma. Both these courses are for a duration of four years. The applicants will have to qualify JEE-Main for the former. Some of the specializations for B.E are Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, and Computer Science. Masters: A majority of the courses at the Post-graduate level are for a duration of two years. However, MBA and MCA are for a duration of three years. The students can opt for an MBA part-time as well. Moreover, they will have to qualify MAT and/or CAT. The full-time MBA course, on the other hand, is only for a duration of two years. The qualifying examination is the same for this course as well.

9. INFRASTRUCTURE Library CSVTU has an extensive library for both the students and faculty. The library has a large collection of books and other journals, resources for the students to refer to. Moreover, with the help of the Wi-fi on the campus, the students can access numerous online journals, periodicals, and e-books. The library has computers and other machines to allow students to photocopy textbooks, print, and browse the internet for educational purposes.

The hostel has all the basic amenities, including high-speed internet, bed, tables, and chair. There is also a separate TV room in both the buildings. There are separate buildings for boys and girls. Additionally, all the rooms are fully furnished, and the hostel also has a mess. They provide students with hygienic and healthy food, three times a day, along with snacks and tea in the evening. Moreover, CSVTU hostel has a good security system so that the students feel comfortable and secure. Other facilities CSVTU provides other facilities to the students apart from accommodation. All the classrooms are equipped with modern technology enhancing the audio-visual learning method. Moreover, there a couple of seminar halls and lecture rooms as well, which is mostly used during presentations and other ceremonies. Additionally, they have space for other indoor sports as well. The annual fees for ME is INR 60,000. The total fees for B.Tech is around INR 30,000. However, this may vary if the students have applied for scholarships The first year’s fee structure for PhD is INR 41,650. Whereas, the MBA fee is around INR 64,000.
